Rimi Sen is an Indian movies actress. Aside from Hindi movies, he’s also acted in Bengali and Telugu movies. Rimi’s original name was ‘Subhamitra Sen’, which she afterwards changed to Rimi Sen. She also popular for her hottest role of as Payal Malhotra’ of this movie ‘Baghban’. Rimi worked in several popular cinemas like ‘Hungama’, ‘Sajni’, ‘Baghban’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’, ‘Dhoom 2’, ‘De Tali’, ‘Thank you’, ‘Shagird’ and more. She was born on 21 September 1981 at Kolkata, West Bengal. Rimi was born at a Bengali family. Since youth, Sen dreamed of being a celebrity. Her original name was Shubhomitra Sen. Rimi Sen decided to turn to Mumbai with her mum after completing her studies. After some time, Rimi had an opportunity to work in a TV commercial of ‘Coca Cola’ with actor Aamir Khan. In the year 2000, Rimi first acted at a Bengali movie named ‘Paromitra Ek Din’. The director of the movie was Aparna Sen’. Next, in the year 2002, he played in the movie’Nee Thodu Kavali’ created and directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao.
He acted in the cinema Hungama led by Priyadarshan. In this movie, Rimi plays the main character. Together with celebrities Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani and Akshaye Khanna. The movie becomes a very success. Later she played yet another film Baghban in 2003. In this, movie she works together with big star Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.
Rimi began to work Bengali film ‘Sajni’ in the year 2004. In this picture, he played a character called Priya’.
She was part of some popular Hindi movies. His very first movie of the year ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. In this picture, he played a character called Anjali’, Garam Masala which premiered in the year 2005. Golmaal premiered in 2006, Dhoom in 2004 and Doom 2 in 2006.
In 2015, She engaged in the Hindi tv reality series Bigg Boss Season 9′ as a contestant. After spending nearly 51 days within Bigg Boss home, ” he said goodbye to this series.
